The Bharat line of smartphones, as the name would have suggested is a series of budget smartphones from an Indian OEM, Micromax. Just like others before it, the Micromax Bharat 5 is a budget smartphone that offers quite a large battery.
This will definitely appeal to user who does not mind having a basic android smartphone. As a plus, it offers quite an enormous battery capacity amongst other features we will be talking about as we go on.
Micromax Bharat 5 Key Specs and Features
- • 5.2-inch, IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 1280 X 720 pixels (282 ppi)
Android 7.0 (Nougat)
• Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 CPU with 1GB RAM
• 16GB built-in storage, up to 64GB with a memory card
• 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera
• 5, 000 mAh non removable Li-Po battery
Design and Display
In the entry level category, a plastic build is sort of the regular thing and that is what we have in the Micromax Bharat 5 smartphone, However, it has a somewhat glossy finish and which attracts smudges easily. Despite the build quality, the Micromax Bharat 5 is still an obvious budget smartphone.
The Micromax Bharat 5 smartphone comes with a decent HD resolution and a portable display at that. It has a 5.2-inch display size and is surrounded by rather obvious bezels. In a way, the display is certainly not as colourful as what you might have seen in better display but it weighs less on the battery, hence, more on-screen time.
Battery and Camera
Like I said earlier, the Micromax Bharat 5 smartphone has an enormous battery and with the low spec list it would last much longer. In that regard, there’s a 5, 000 mAh Li-Po battery, with a life span of up to two day on minimal usage.
The smartphone has the power of five in Micromax’s words, looking at the battery capacity, with the 5MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Although not much of can be expected with an entry level smartphone. Pictures taken in enough light appears quite good enough for a budget smartphone.
Hardware and Software
Handling things on the inside is an entry level SoC from MediaTek. In that way, you have a Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor running at 1.3GHz with an ARM Mali-T720 GPU taking care of graphics.
Also, the Micromax Bharat 5 features a 1GB internal memory which is not too big on app multi-tasking and a 16GB built-in storage. This storage space can be expanded up to 64GB if you want more space. Micromax Bharat 5 also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat from the box.
Pricing and Availability
The Micromax Bharat 5 is available for sale in a number of online stores and smartphone retail outlets for about $80 depending on your location and the deal.

Review: Huawei Honor View 10 Design And Specifications
For long, Huawei has been bringing some amazing phones to the market and Huawei Honor is one of them. The features of this phone is close to that of Huawei Mate 10, but the design is significantly different. It looks and feels much better when held in hand.
The dual cameras bump on the back do look a bit out of place, but the results are fantastic. Furthermore, the performance is top notch, which is expected of a high-end smartphone. You can multitask quite easily without worrying about slowdowns or any other complications.
The bigger screen allows for better resolution, and that makes everything on Huawei Honor View 10 look incredible. If you have been holding out for a bigger screen smartphone that actually functions well, then you should definitely look into View 10.
The mate design finishing is great. Huawei has always brought some awesomely designed smartphones to the market, and View 10 is another brilliant example of that. Despite being huge in size, the phone feels incredibly easy to hold due to finesse finishing. It comes in two colors as of now and both of them are great.
One of them is traditional blue color that you find in most Huawei brands, and the other is black. It’s not jet black as most of the smartphones these days as it falls more in the category of grayish-black. It still looks awesome though so it is definitely job well done.
Huawei Honor View 10 is equipped with Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset, Octa-core (4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU, and Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. These high-end specifications allow you to multitask easily.
Those of you interested in mobile games would also find it to your liking. The bigger screen makes the visuals look good, and due to amazing specifications, everything runs smoothly as well.
Honor View 10 comes with dual cameras. One is of 16MP while the other is of 20MP. They both complement each other really well. The results are stellar as you can take sharp photos at any time of day. Usually, the flash ruins the pictures in some instances. However, that’s not the case here as flash is implemented well.
Those of you who prefer a phone with a great camera will feel right at home with Honor View 10’s offering. The secondary camera is of 13MP and is equally amazing. Selfie fans would absolutely love it due to its sharpness and the ability to provide great results.
There are two different versions of Huawei Honor View 10 available in terms of storage space. One comes with 64GB of storage and is obviously cheaper, whereas the other version boasts 128GB of storage space. Even if you run out, you can extend this space via microSD cards which are supported up to 256GB.
The battery has 3750mAh capacity and it can last you for quite a while. To make things even better, EMUI’s battery modes have been added which allow you to choose from different battery modes for your device. The device lasts easily for a day, but using different battery modes, you can make it last for longer periods of time.
The Biggest Android Oreo 8.1 Features
The tech giant, google has been doing a good job over the years by keeping Android safe and feature-heavy. Over the years, it has received lot of updates till date and the exciting thing is that all of them have been pretty great. Some of these updates came with new features, some of them fixed the existing issues, while some of them came with new security protocols.
All these updates were done because it was necessary and also to improve the overall user experience of android users. Android Nougat 7.0 really kept smile on people’s face and people are expecting something high from Android Oreo 8.1 as well.
This new update is already out in the new Google smartphone and if you own one, then you are in for a big treat. Some of the features has been openly mentioned, but there are some hidden quality of life improvement as well, and I’ll be discussing about them below.
Background Limits On Apps
In the last updates, there was no way you can stop an app from running in the background. This as we all know affected the performance of smartphones as many apps consumed the memory. However, with the new Android Oreo 8.1, you can now set background limits in your apps.
This means you can stop apps you aren’t using or apps you don’t use very often from consuming space in your RAM. This simply means that your active apps will run very smoothly. This feature that people have been demanding for a long period of time has finally happened.
In the previous updates, you have to maually delete apps in order to clean its background memory usage, but with this new feature, you have control over background limit on apps you don’t use very often.
After being connected to the internet almost all day, the feed becomes filled with much notifications from different apps. Getting to see all the notifications is quite difficult which is why Android Oreo introduced the snooze notification feature.
If there are some notifications you don’t want to check out at the moment, hover over them and slide it either to the right or left and a clock will show up. Here, you have to set the timer based on when you want the notification to show up again. After you are through, the notification will disappear and show up when the its time.
This is an awesome feature that will improve our user experience that we didn’t know we wanted. After connecting to the internet, we receive lots of notifications that is quite annoying and most times we clear it off. However, with these feature we can check out each and every notifications.
New Storage Controls
In the previous updates, whenever your storage is filled up, you were taken to the menu where apps ranging from the most useful to the useless ones are being lined up. Its usually difficult to know what to delete or keep most times.
No worries, things is made better in Android Oreo 8.1. Instead all the apps just showing up, they’ve been categorized. Now you have Games, Movies and TV Apps and other apps that allows you to navigate easily. With these options, its easier to know what to delete as its easy to dictate unnecessary apps.
In the last updates, it was difficult for some people to dictate apps to delete thereby causing some people to delete useful apps. Realizing the problem this caused, Google listened to their user and introduced this new feature.
Split-screen feature was introduced in Android 7.0 which allowed you to use two apps at the same time. However, only a couple of apps were supported. Realizing the great potential of this feature, Google has made it possible for this feature to support more apps in the split-screen picture-in-picture mode.
It is now possible for you to watch your favourite YouTube video and reply to a message on WhatsApp at the same time. This awesome feature is putting a smile on everybody’s face all over the world. Not all apps have been updated to the latest firmware, so might experience problem using these feature.
However, soonest developers will update their apps to Android Oreo 8.1 and then you will be able to use them in split-screen pictur-in-picture mode.
Other Minor Features
The above are the major features that have been introduced to the android users, but there are some minor features included as well. Settings menu has been changed – all the important options are highlighted in the main settings menu, then you can tap Advanced Settings if you are looking for some technical options. Furthermore, File Manager has been improved making it simpler to understand and use.
Another improvement being introduced by Android Oreo 8.1 is the ability to turn on Wi-Fi automatically. You can put your home network in this list and as soon as it is in range, the Wi-Fi will turn on automatically and your phone and your smartphone will connect to it.
Meanwhile, the battery has received some improvement as well, its looks optimized ready and most importantly it’s more detailed. You can now see the different functions that are impacting your battery life which is a huge benefit.
For quite a long time, users have been demanding for Autofill framework and google has finally implemented it. For those of you that aren’t way of this feature should know that it basically fills in the information for you so that you don’t have to do fill the information over and over again.
The Autofill framework stores your information once you have written it when filling a form so that when next you have to fill a form, you’ll have the option to fill it automatically.
